Hidden Temple
Many do not notice the temple that is in between two carpark entrances as they zoom past it trying to jostle their way in through the heavy traffic. I decided to stop by and have a quick snap so that I could show it to an old friend.
I was intrigued by its ornate carvings and vivid colours. Even the columns are not spared from a detailed design.

You know there's a story behind why this temple is in the middle of mid valley.
Apparently, the initial plan was to destroy it and move it somewhere else. Yet everytime the contractors tried to break the temple, something would go wrong. The machine would break down, the workers would get injured.
So when that happened, somebody said that it was bad feng shui to break the temple and they decided to include it into the project.
Hey presto, it's one of the most successful development project in Malaysia today!

Ys Suresh, I'm glad you brought it up.. I am trying to source for some first hand stories of the temple. Isn't amasing that something beautiful can make u feel creepy at times?

Suresh: Is your story true ? I hope there are more of such divine protection when many of our ole beautiful structures faced up to those heartless developers.....

Al Cate: The interpretation of whether it was divine intervention is still up for discussion! What do you think it was?

:)
I don't know if it was true. And I guess we'll never really know.
But that was the primary reason why the project was stalled for so long. They just couldn't proceed till somebody said to include the temple in the project.
Interesting eh.

heh suresh - i've heard the same story. Also that the developer offered to paid for the re-construction of the temple, and he's now reaping the benefits.
there's another indian temple along the ldp (near the IOI Mall stretch) which was also financed by a Chinese developer. I don't know what the story is behind that, but the guy's name is on the signboard that displays the temple name.
